It's been a while since i last blogged. Well alot has happened the past month or so. I finally managed to get my place in NUS. I must thank God for making that happen. I appealed the first time and i got rejected, and the second time my mom and i managed to arrange for an interview with the admissions side and after that i got the green light. That was really an anxious period of time for me. Waiting on the world to give me a future, or throw me an empty hand with which to spin my web. Oh well that's all over and i'm really glad. This week marks the official start of my tertiary education, been through 2 lectures already and gonna go for one at 2pm later. I must say i had a good orientation before this. It was called the O week. For some obvious reason it was also known as the Big O. ha. Yea it was a blast, stayed over in campus (no longer camp) from mon to wed and fri to sat. My OG was great. Met people like adeleine, vicky, kern, william, jiamin, stacey, rachel, jeraldine, sharon, peiling, xie ai, shi duan, ting ting, kai jian, kian boon, huimin, xinyi and a whole lot more like the other OGLs and AOGLs. Props to them for the enthusiasm and friendship we fostered.
One more thing i have to be thankful for is the successful bidding for my modules. Let me just list them for the record. I got
Introduction to Communications and New Media,
Introduction to Japanese Studies,
The Nature of Language,
Introduction to Social Work and
Singapore Society.
I've already been for CNM and English lectures and it's so good so far. Now it's just to see how the remaining subjects catch on. But i'm really glad it's bringing on a positive experience.
Guess what, i went for floorball trials yesterday evening, woa it was killer. we did sprints and a couple of drills similar to hockey training. I felt so drained after that. i havent perspired so much in ages. Anyway thanks to vicky, rachel and kern who dropped by. I don't regret going for the try outs now! ha. I'm considering joining BLAST, which is the NUS Hiphop dance club. Will be heading for their welcome tea tmr, and i hope it'll be great. It's just the auditions i'm worried about. I can't do shit. The only thing i can do is a baby freeze, which is pathethic. In dance you gotta be able to freestyle. Shit i'm hoping i won't embarass myself if i do go for the auditions.
The only other cca i see myself joining is ODAC. I can't make my mind up for now. I'll just see how things go.
On a sidenote, yesterday marked the 2nd anniversary of EXCESS' existence, time has passed so quickly and we're already 2 years old! Amazing innit? Well keep strong folks, and we'll keep to our vision in 4 years' time.
